The choice between a fire pit and an outdoor fireplace comes down to gathering style. Our fire features are built with refractory-rated materials throughout — proper firebrick in the firebox, a cast-in-place or pre-engineered firebox unit designed for thermal cycling, and masonry construction that won't crack or delaminate under repeated heating and cooling. Gas fire pits use a high-BTU burner system with a key valve or electronic ignition, depending on your preference. We coordinate with a licensed gas plumber for the supply line and work with your town's building department on permits where required. The result is a feature that performs safely and looks like it was always meant to be there.

Every fire feature we build is designed for the specific thermal and weather demands of outdoor Connecticut installation. We don't repurpose indoor fireplace construction methods for outdoor applications — the material specs, the flashing, the mortar selection, and the base preparation are all calibrated for exterior use and freeze-thaw durability.
